01

Who we are

This website is published by the Constituency Media Office for Ikeja Federal Constituency. It is an information and casework channel, not a political party membership database.

02

What we collect

When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message you submit, together with a one-way hash of your network address for abuse prevention. When you use Arole AI we store the question, the answer, the mode (live model or public-record fallback), the sources used and a hashed network address. Server logs may record standard technical information such as the time of a request.

03

Why we hold it

Contact messages are held so the constituency office can respond, route casework and keep a record of community reports. Chat logs are held to improve the assistant's accuracy and to detect abuse. Network addresses are hashed so we can rate-limit without keeping the raw address in the content database.

04

Cookies and tracking

There are no advertising, analytics or social tracking cookies on the public site. The only cookie is the content office session cookie, set after a staff member signs in; it is HttpOnly and expires after 12 hours. YouTube videos are not loaded until you press play, and doing so contacts YouTube under its own privacy policy.

05

Arole AI and third parties

Arole AI may send your question and a compact extract of this site's public record to a language-model provider so that it can compose an answer. The provider is used through a server-side API; your account details are never sent. If no provider is configured or the provider is unavailable, the assistant answers from the local record without making an external call. We do not sell personal information.

06

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months so casework can be followed up, then deleted. Chat logs are kept for up to 90 days. Hashed network addresses are kept only for the same period as the record they support.

07

Your choices

You can ask the office to confirm what it holds about a message you sent, correct it, or delete it. Use the contact form with the subject 'Privacy request' and the email address you used. If you are a staff member, you can change your password from the content office.

08

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Content-office passwords are stored as scrypt hashes, sessions are signed and expire, uploads are stored outside the public web root, and access to the content office is rate-limited. No system is perfect; if you believe you have found a security issue, report it through the contact form with the subject 'Security'.
